Kammerlander Square in Campo Tures

Our Apparthotel Central is located directly on the beautiful Kammerlander Square in the village center. This large and redesigned square was dedicated to our fellow citizen and world-renowned mountaineer Hans Kammerlander, for whom the community of Tures is more than a place of residence – it is his home.

Hans Kammerlander is known for his extreme mountain tours and numerous first and solo hikes up to twelve 8000m peaks around the world. Over ten years, he held the record for the fastest climb of the highest mountain in the world. He gives lectures about many of his climbs.

Campo Tures wins the European Village Renewal Award 2008

In July 2008, the market town of Campo Tures was declared winner of the European Village Renewal Prize.
